Jim Sweeney

Jim is a seasoned IT leader with 30 years technical experience in the insurance and financial services industry. He started his career working on mainframe applications but transitioned to designing and developing Java-based web and batch applications. He made the jump to application architecture leading teams creating document fulfillment-based applications. Eventually, he began professional service consulting work focusing on solution architecture. As a solution architect, he mastered his firm’s industry-recognized, UML (unified modeling language)-based architecture process which has helped him successfully deliver on-premises, cloud, and hybrid solutions for his clients. Jim also spent time as a Security Architect rolling out a project based SaaS Security requirements-generating application that replaced a manual spreadsheet process. He also consulted with project teams to help them understand their specific non-functional security requirements and how to best mitigate them.
